    Working with some footage that was out of an Avid. UGH. Playback always stops and stutters in that section. We thought that transcoding to high quality prores within X would fix it, but no, that sucks too. We’ve found that it’s better to export the clip as prores and then bring it back in vs letting X handle it at all.

    Anybody else noticed this?

    I noted the same thing… It’s an issue in my world as all the EVS are set to DNx these days… (They were prores for fcp7, so I suppose they might return if FCPx gains traction … Uphill battle though)… Roll on AVC-intra (maybe)

    I’ve had good results using quicktime references from .mxf DNxHD files, but that was many months ago, before mxf support. Haven’t tried recently
