Our BMD Camera arrived today, is there anyone else on here who has used one with FCPX? and if so what workflow are you using?

You might want to look through some of these workflows I’ve written about. If you shoot ProRes with their “film” gamma profile, you get a flat image that responds to grading a lot like Alexa footage recorded with the Log-C profile or RED with the RedLogFilm profile. If you shoot camera raw image sequences, you will need to convert externally first. FCP X will open the DNG files, but you don’t have access to the metadata settings to alter the raw colorimetry from inside X.

Steve, Blackmagic Design has their own forum section on all things BMD including Resolve and the Blackmagic Cinema Camera. BMCuser is another great discussion group. Both these sites are full of people bemoaning the fact that they are still waiting for their camera to be shipped, but other than that the sites are very useful with professionals of all stripes contributing.
