Question: Sharing Key Words between editors
I’m working on a corporate documentary project in FCP X 10.0.7 that involves one editor putting together the first cuts and then the 2nd editor adding the titles. Both editors have the same copy of the Event Library at the *start* of the project.
Question: Is there any way to provide the second editor with Key Words that are added by the first editor when he delivers the project files to the second editor without having to give the second editor an updated copy of the entire multi gigabyte Event Library?

Do they both have the same exact copy of the media?
If so, have you tried XML?

Hi jeremy, Thanks for the reply. Both editors started out identical copies of the projects Events Library. During the course of moving from editor 1 to editor 2 NO NEW MEDIA is added but editor 1 has added new Keywords. I would like editor 2 to be able to see the keywords and favorites added by editor 1 with out having to send editor 2 a whole new copy of the event library.
I checked the xML export but wasn’t sure how that would send keywords to the 2nd editor. possibly you could explain the process.

If both have the same original media, you can just send the CurrentVersion.fcpevent back and forth. You can’t merge them however, so only one can make changes to it at a time.
I don’t believe this is the official way to do it, but it works great for me for working on 2 computers.
