Ok, I’ve just come across this a few times now as I hardly do 3 point editing in X. But I had to do some cutting down of a project. Removing big chunks and all. So, mark an in, mark an out. Then I want to mouse around just to check my points, but oh goodness don’t click anywhere because you’ll lose the range. What’s up with that? There has to be a better way, and they found one in the events, but I’m not sure how it would transfer to the project.

SHIFT+I/O to jump to IN or OUT point in timeline. Or use skimmer to check area roughly. Or if you need to move the playhead, do so in the ruler section of the timeline to avoid deselecting a range.
