  Font family missing

  Hi there

  I am just getting my head around FCP X, and actually having quite a good time with it so far, however I have a slight problem….

  When I try and use one of the 20 or so weights of the Univers typeface (specifically the ’85 extra black’ version) these variants aren’t displayed. I have had a look on forums and the like and it seems to be something about FCP presuming that there would only be 4 weights for each typeface… is there a workaround with this?

  I’m on SL and use Suitcase font management. There were some fonts missing in FCPX that appeared everywhere else. Eventually realized that these missing fonts were not resident in ~/Library/Fonts, but managed (and available via) Suitcase Fusion. When copied INTO the os font folder, they showed in X.

  Maybe your issue?

  Ah interesting, I’ll give this a try tomorrow and let you know how I get on.
