  Timeline drag doesn work?

  hi there
  i,v got a problem with the time line , when i drag it i dont see what it do, after i let go off the mousse button it appears.
  My pc is strong enough and i worked with ae before and then it worked ok. I saw someone with this same problem a post from 2007 but there was no answer? Can someone please help me , this is a huge problem for me. p.s and not a big comp only and text layer with an simple effect and it doesnt work , i already installed it all again but still the same problem.

  Make sure live update isn’t clicked off. It’s the third button above your sources.
