    Hi,

I’ve been poking around the forums to see if this questions came up. No luck so far.

I captured a bunch of clips (SD) from a DVX100B in FCP7. I would prefer to work in FCPX, but I’m not entirely sure if I can bring the media over from FCP7. They are .mov Quicktime files, and when I try taking them from my captured scratch and dropping them in my Events Folder or importing them into FCPX, they are much more pixelated than before. I don’t understand.

I have read about 7 to X but that only seems to work for sequences.

My question… is there a way to move captured file to FCPX from FCP7? Or is it better to just work in FCP7 at this point?

    Thanks in advance!

This is actually part of my workflow, I ingest via FCP 7 and then copy the files into FCP X. Just find your capture scratch from FCP 7 and drag the files you want into a FCP X event and they will copy over. 🙂
