  HD/SD Project and sequence settings

  Hey everyone,
  I’m a noobie to HD and am editing a project with both HD/SD footage in FCP 7.0.3 for the purpose of exporting to DVD(no bluray) via FCP studio.
  In order to get the best all-around look and good display on standard and widescreen tv’s should I set the sequence settings to all HDTV and create work-arounds for the SD footage; like blurred backgrounds, letterbox and such?
  The settings I was going to roll with are:
  Frame size – 1280×720 w aspect ratio of HDTV 720p
  Square pixel AR
  lower field dominance
  Prores 422

  Any suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated!!
