Trying to find the ‘in’ and ‘out’ buttons on AE cs4. WHERE ARE THEY? All I want to do is set the in and out points for my footage to export part of iyt to video, but I can’t do it because I can’t find the buttons, and help is, as ever no help at all… A screen shot would be appeciated, thank you.

Here is the relavent help page on editing layers in AE. Here is the relavent help page on keyboard shortcuts for editing.

There are tons of direct (and indirect) keyboard shortcuts in AE – we have both an AE keyboard as well as our new color shortcut stickers (just $12.95) that should be very helpful.

Actually… there are some work arounds…

If you have the Apple Wireless Keyboard, you could put our AE stickers on the keyboard, then place a FCP skin on the keyboard when working in FCP and even swap over to a Photoshop skin when doing Photoshop. So that’s 3 apps with 1 keyboard (or even 4 if you ever used Media Composer).

I like the sound of an FCP skin, is it like a dust cover that still allows you to type? Could do with one for typing in russian; something I can’t do on the mac as I can’t get my russian keyboard to work on it

    >>I like the sound of an FCP skin, is it like a dust cover that still allows you to type?<< It's form-fitting and very, very thin to allow you to type. As you can see on our Skins page (https://www.bella-usa.com/Keyboard_Skins/) it almost looks like it is part of the keyboard. Regarding the Russian, can’t help you with that one!
