  All effects, transitions not showing up in fcpx but are in motion

  I’m having a little trouble with fcpx. I am an newbie so apologies for lack of technical knowledge!

  I have been trying and trying to add transitions, and effects to final cut pro x without any luck.
  I am putting things in user/movies/Motion Templates/Effects/ (name of plugin) i.e. Alex4D Sparks,

  Everywhere on the internet says that this is the correct place. I have also put numerous transitions into the transitions folder etc.

  If I load up Motion5, they do show up in the initial window, but absolutely nothing shows up in FCPX
  The Alex4d Sparks effects should show up under one of the tabs on the right, either generators or transitions.

  Please can someone advise me what I am doing wrong?
  I saw on the net that there is an option in fcpx to turn on or off effects, but cannot find it anywhere.
