  Crazy Digital “Static” after Keying in FCX – corrupted source files??

  Anybody seen anything like this?

  

  The footage was shot on an HVX, on a P2 card, files (with file structure intact) copied over to the hard drive of the iMac, and imported using “Import from Camera” function. First time I tried to import the clips, I got an error message that said the clips were not imported and still referencing camera. Quit final cut, restarted Mac, imported again. No error message and clips look fine in Event Library window and on Timeline. Applied the Keyer under effects and dropped in stock background.

  I’m running:

  iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011)
  Processor 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5
  8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
  Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3 (11D50b)

  Final Cut 10.0.03
