    Hey Guys,

So I’m a bit confused here. The XML files outputted by FCPX seem to destroy field data like Scene and Take. When I import something I just exported, all that information is gone. I’ve been reading through the app docs on FCPXML and haven’t found any mention of that.

Is there any way to get that included through XML? Has anyone come across this?

Wow, looks like you can’t do this. Scene and Take (as well as all clip metadata) can only be manipulated from within the application.

    Unless someone knows otherwise.

Yeah, I don’t think FCPXML is there yet.

Yes, it appears FCPX can’t understand itself.

It is still a lonely island.
