    Hey everyone!

I’m updating my software QRSlate to include FCPX support, but I see that it uses a very different methodology for media management.

So, my question to you FCPX users is, what would be the most useful way for QRSlate to fill in the metadata for you?

QRSlate will automatically fill in Scene, Take, Camera Roll, Sound Roll, Description, Comments, Good/Bad Take, In-Out, Markers, Lens info, and a few others. But there aren’t really columns in this new version, which is traditionally where the information would go.

Is this the sort of metadata that would be most helpful tagged as keywords for each clip? What do you think?

    I appreciate the input loads.

meta-data like: reel, scene, take are searchable fields which can be used to create smart collections, so I’d say they are still pretty important. Plus they are also available in the list view columns of the event browser.

Hey Andy. New version of QRSlate supports FCP-X. But I’ll always be refining it to get it perfect. Right now, FCP XML does not support most of the columns available in FCP-X. So most of the information I’ve decided to either include in the Notes column (which is available). The rest are keywords and markers.
