  Audio Ducking

  Maybe I’m slow, but I just discovered that I can use the Range tool to select an area on a clip, then drag the audio level to where I want it and it automatically creates keyframes. Way better than alt+clicking to create keyframes. Sweeeeet! Go ahead. Now tell me this has been a feature in FCP since the dawn of time…

  And yes, it’s a major convenience.

  Learning to duck or boost audio this way my intro the the entire “range” idea – and now I can’t imagine working differently.

  Very cool! When I’m in a rush, I just blade the clip where I want and then drag down the volume fader, but the Range Tool is much better.
