  Moooving a project

  Last week we shot/edited on location for a client on a couple of different workstations. I used 7 and my colleague used X. I need to add some footage and thought it would be good to become better acquainted with X, so I thought I’d re-edit on my computer. Can someone outline the steps for opening an existing project (is it still called that 🙂 ?) on another workstation? I tried a couple of things last night but didn’t get past the beach ball. Is there a tutorial for this?

  In your Final cut Events and final cut projects folders, there are folders which mirror the name of the events and projects in X.

  With FCPX quit on every machine, simply move the encompassing folders to the corresponding fc events and projects folder on the destination drive/computer, then launch X.

  I got into the habit of using multiple external drives.
  I can edit on any workstation available.
  However you can confuse FCPX if you have duplicate projects on two different mounts.
