  music video Advice.

  I’m about to cut my first music video, I’ve been a commercial/promo editor for 6 years but have never done a music video. Any advice, tips? This is a stupid question but….how do you keep the music in sync, is it all timecode?

  Hi,

  I would definitly recommend to put the music track in the primary timeline and add all the videoclips as connected clips. Autosyncing longer clips works pretty well with grooveorientated music.
  Adding short snippets Is a little harder to do. I set markers in the clip in the browser and in the musictrack in the timeline then connect the clip to have it roughly in place and nudge it around with the , and . keys.
  till its in sync.
