September 21, 2011 at 6:37 amI have a 48TB NTFS SAN (windows server) controlled by Tiger Technologies metaSAN.
FCPX works on this volume today when it didn’t yesterday.
According to Apple, only one computer can see the project or event at any given time.
It seems SAN availability is not only relagated to XSAN.

Larry Jordan reported that NAS also works.

Have you tried making a new event on the drive?

September 21, 2011 at 5:01 pmThe drive or volume doesn’t show up to make an Event on. In order to add a SAN you have to use the “Add San” feature under “File” this won’t allow me to add my NAS either.

September 21, 2011 at 8:12 pmYeah, that’s the problem with Apple – there’s always a hidden agenda in what they do – in this case trying to get us to pay up for Lion and Lion Server!

I have neither of those nad it works here. My SAN has nothing to do with Apple, it’s actually controlled via Windows.

September 21, 2011 at 8:21 pmAll the same – it should work on ANY shared storage, since the application itself takes care of signing in and out on the “SAN”, in order to not create user conflicts.
