  • Problem: Audio clicks and distortion using Apple stock music.

Posted by Norman Lang on September 18, 2011 at 7:30 pm

I really enjoy editing with FCPX and I like the music that is included in the package. My issue is that when I render out, the sound track has all these clicks and distorted sound. I don’t have the problem when I use my own music. Has anyone had this issue?

Here as a one minute clip as an example. Notice the clicking and distortion.

Convert the audio to uncompressed 48k. Don’t use compressed audio in FCP.

    All the best,

Worked. Big help. Thanks, I appreciate it. The question remains… Why, yet another workaround?!

Previous versions of FCP didn’t like MP3’s or non-48k audio either.
