    Hey guys.

I’ve been working on a few wedding videos in FCPX and the stabilization feature has really helped for quick fixes to minor problems. But recently the function has been a little weird. For no discernable reason, the Stabilization option doesn’t show up when certain videos are selected, but it does when other videos are selected. Now, I’ve wracked my brain trying to figure out why and haven’t gotten anywhere.

The feature is removed on one clip shot with my DSLR, but then is available for another clip shot with the same DSLR. I haven’t modified any of the media settings or anything like that, either. I’m completely at a loss.

    Any ideas?

As always, thanks in advance for any help I may (and am sure to) receive. The dedicated posters on this forum really are a lifesaver. Kudos.

I wonder if the specific file wasn’t analyzed or maybe the analysis was lost. Try right clicking on the clip and select analyze and then select analyze for stabilization and rolling shutter and see if it proceeds to analyze and shows the function on the clip in the Inspector.

I would also have the Smart Collections enabled after analysis because the clips that FCPX thinks needs help will be in there, even if you go back and use the full clips instead.
