• Apple Final Cut Pro

  Crashing twice an hour

  I’m on a 2011 Macbook Pro; 2.3Ghz Quad i7; 8GB RAM; Mac OS 10.6.7. Also installed: Final Cut Studio 3, Adobe Master Collection.

  I’m loving not rendering, but the crashes are a bit annoying. I haven’t lost any work or frozen up, but FCPX just blinks out a couple of times an hour.

  When you’re doing anything in particular or just randomly?

  It’s always when I’m doing something, but not one thing in particular. It’s almost like the crash is not related to the function I’m performing at the time, but something else that is going wrong in the background and the button I happen to be pushing just pushes it over the edge.

  FCPX always crashes when I try to use optical flow.
  2011 Macbook pro Quad core i7 2.0 8gb ram.
  Anyone know what to do about it?
