BG: Adjustment Layers in FCP X

    BG Global Domination

This is an FCP X “Adjustment layer” preset made from a title preset.

Slightly tongue in cheek name…but never mind 😉

Download FCP X Adjustment Layer: BG Global Domination

Apply this preset over your entire edit above all other layers to give you:

    – Timecode generator with choice of position, size and invert colours
    – Broadcast Safe filter with reduce luminance, reduce saturation and reduce both saturation and luminance (something which can’t be done with standard broadcast safe filter)
    – Custom Letterbox control with optional border, border size and border colour
    – Rescale and reposition the video within the letterbox area.
    – Apply a global colour tint (with intensity controls)
    – RGB levels controls for that final tweak on your already perfect colour grade 😉

Hats off to your relentless quest to make the ultimate, essential, Swiss Army Knife, make-the-tea-while-you’re-at-it FCPX Effect!

I don’t know about what you think…but glaring omissions aside with FCP X, but the way people like yourself and many others have been able to extend the functionality of X with motion rigging within just a couple of months has to be one of the high points of a…ummm…. rocky start to life for FCP X.

The sharing of ideas, both creative and functional, I think have helped the user community immensely.

    Keep up the good work.

    Cheers,

    BG

You guys are both reasons why I have confidence in FCPX. (not trying to make this into an argument forum about FCPX lol). All I mean is that more people like you will continue to create effects/plugins for the new final cut and will draw people in. The more people the more support apple will give. I actually love FCPX so far if you look past the shortcomings that is, so much raw potential. But I think the new way that motion and Final Cut interact is THE reason this will be an amazing editing tool once the kinks get worked it.
