    Hi all,

I’ve already created a new project and imported some files. I had FCP X to transcode my files to ProRes. Everything works great, but since I am working on a laptop, I would want to create Proxy version of my video files.

How can I tell FCP to generate proxy files now?
I tried to check the option in the preferences, but it does not transcode “again”.

    Thxs

Select the clips or the event, Control-click or use File and select Transcode Media. You’ll get the dialog that lets you create proxy media.

    All the best,

    Tom
