  New gotcha

  Made a backup of my events and project files to an external partition, and when I started working the next day it showed my project on the external partition, but NOT on the original partition. It appeared to be gone. So I quit FCPX and ejected the partition and all was normal again.

  It threw me when later in the day I rebooted the computer and forgot to eject that backup partition. Thought I’d lost my day’s work. Ejected and all was fine again. Seems it doesn’t like two versions of the same project/event on two drives.

  Tuck the backup somewhere other than the root of the drive (like in a “Backup” folder) and it shouldn’t latch onto them.
