  FCP X Effect: BG You into Lace? (deinterlace filter)

  A simple FCP X Effect preset, it’s just Motion’s deinterlace filter published back to FCP X as there is no deinterlace filter as standard in there. Strange, it’s in Motion – but not FCP!

  FCP X Effect: BG You into Lace? (deinterlace filter)

  – Choose dominant Field (upper / lower)
  – Choose deinterlace method (duplicate, interpolate or blend)

  Controls:

  

  Install Location:

  Drop the folder inside this zip into the following directory:

  Movies / Motion Templates / Effects / BG Effects /
  

  

  For full installation instructions, refer to README file inside the zip file.

  Thank you for all your effects!

  I’m having a problem with my video. I shoot on minidv tape and I capture it using Aja kona cards with the Pro Res LT codec. Then I edit it in FCP X. Straight lines look like staircases. What can I do to get rid of that? Thanks.

  This installed perfectly and comes up as an effect within FCPX. But what a shame that it doesn’t actually work.
