    For anyone who is still interested, I have made a whole new multi-pack of split-screen effects, including 2-way, 3-way, 4-way, 6-way, 8-way and 9-way. (I thought I’d stop at 9 for now!).

    2562_splitscreenmultipack2.zip

    These have controls for:

    Image source scale and position;
    Border width, color and feather;
    Drop Zones for adding image sources.

    Please note that to use the Drop Zones correctly you will need to select clips from the timeline not the Browser (if you do the latter it will use the clip from the head of the source not your selection). Thanks to the legendary Alex Gollner for this tip!

    [Eron Otcasek] “how do I install this?”

    Unzip the file and copy the contents (the complete folders) to: User/Movies/Motion Templates/Effects. Preferably make a new folder inside that (e.g. My Downloaded Effects) for your downloaded effects from third parties.

    Excellent plugin. I use a lot of still images in documentaries and we often use split screen effects to bring up multiple layers. This is going to be very helpful!

    Thanks, Ethan. Glad you like it. Please do report any errors and I’ll fix them. And of course suggestions for how you’d like them improved.

    I’m thinking of doing some more elaborate multi-screen templates so do let me know if you have any ideas that you’d like to see.
