Just got final cut X yesterday and waw it’s different, gotta learn all over again. However I am troubled by the process of doing a title in Motion 5, saving it then importing it into my FCP X project. I just don’t see a way how to do that like the FCP 7. Any Help would be appreciated.

When you open Motion 5, you get the option to open a Final Cut Title template. Choose this, make all the changes to the title you want in order to get the look you are looking for (background, font, size, placement – anything and everything – it’s infinitely flexible), then choose Save As and save it to your Favourites folder.

It will then be avaiable for use from the Title Browser in FCPX.

Yes this feature alone in motion is worth the upgrade!!! Be great to see what stuff people come up with this.

Just wish we could have the “send to motion” function reinstated though, then the tighter integration between fcp and motion would definitely help.

    cheers,

Has anyone heard from the “powers that be” whether or not send to motion would be returning? It’s pretty major omission imo.

well i have been playing with final cut pro and have come to the conclusion that this is not worth my time. nothing makes sense, I have no control where anything is, how this works or anything. I hate this upgrade. I would now go back to version 7. Total crap, foolish product upgrade
