Match frame: where is it?
Posted by Benjamin Reichman on June 24, 2011 at 12:42 amShift-F shows you where the whole clip is in the Browser (or whatever it’s called now). But how do you do a simple match frame?

June 24, 2011 at 12:53 amNo, you’re not missing anything. I was. 😉 I pressed Shift-F, and then clicked in the Browser–which eliminated my In point before I even knew it was there. The filmstrip view is hard to get used to–I keep missing the Viewer. Maybe I’ll adapt after a few weeks.
I just tried it again and the app worked a few times in a row, and then acted up. (It wreaked havoc with my graphics card a few minutes ago and smeared ghost images, etc. all over my monitor until it was very difficult to restart the Mac.)

That’s some scary stuff there.

I’ve been getting slight GUI interuptions too. Usually After I’m CMD+Tabbing back into FCPX. It always seems to be when I’m coming back from Firefox too.

Same here–it happens when I command-tab between FCP X and Firefox.

Yeah, I just had a hunch it was firefox+FCPX related. I’ve been having lots of little issues with firefox over the past few months, like my flash plugin crashing for no reason, or forcequiting it making system lock up in weird ways that cause me to need a reboot.

June 24, 2011 at 7:12 pmHmmm. I haven’t taken the FCP X plunge yet, but this caught my eye. I’ve been having issues with Firefox lately too, which is a bummer, because it’s my favorite browser. Lots of force quits, and frozen web pages.

September 12, 2011 at 4:51 amAnyone know if that works with compound clips? What are you supposed to do if you work with sync audio and use “sync clips” feature?
