jump cut? fast cut? whats the name and how to proper make it
hello im in a rush, deadline is in one week, so i still have to film , cut and edit..

what is the name of that? those fast scenes. i know is just several clips together with a short duration but … what i’ve tried doesn’t look good.
any recommendation , tips about this.

A hip hop montage is a subset of fast cutting used in film to portray a complex action through a rapid series of simple actions in fast motion, accompanied by sound effects. Just to help with the terminology – a Jump Cut is what happens when a shot is interrupted and you need to cut a part out of a continuous take. The best example is someone at a podium speaking. If they suddenly cough mid sentence – you need to cut out the cough – and when you do that, since the position of the speaker is going to be different before and after the edit, the picture will JUMP rather than play cleanly.
Generally, jump cuts call attention to an edit and take the audience out of the scene flow. However, audiences have become somewhat accustomed to seeing jump cuts and if the story continues to make sense, it can be acceptable as a cutting style if the material supports that.
