How to give a film-look with FCP ?
Hi
Need an advice:
How to give a “professional look in my small project?
I worked days in the color correction.
I feel that the project is good now.
But it is missing this “final touch” that makes the difference.
A friend let me use his MAGIC BULLET program. Many options – many “extreme look possibilities” so to speak.
All I want is something classic and nice – the feeling of the film.I will be grateful for any advice/suggestion.

That’s not very specific. But I’m guessing you want to add grain and pulldown effects. I like Nattress for this.

You can use Color to get the film look.

in my mind, there’s 2 kinds of film color
1. a heavy tint, such as green
2. a slight Technicolor look -
It’s a fairly lowbrow technique, however, occasionally I’ve had some good results duplicating the video, changing the composite mode to Screen or Overlay depending on your lighting and then doing some fine tuning in Color. Again, fairly lowbrow and may be too simple if you really want that perfect look, but it’s OK if you don’t have the cash for the plugins.

Another vote for Color. Plus there are some already created Looks included.
