  Illegal Editing

  Hi….I was present at a legal hearing that was filmed and recorded onto DVD. I asked for a transcript of the events and noticed a number of statements made at the hearing were not there. I asked to see the DVD and those statements were not on it. I believe the DVD was edited to accomodate the transcript. The editing was well done as I did not notice any ‘jump’ in the movements of people so it was possibly ‘morphed’ as well as edited. Does anyone know how i might ascertain electronically or with software where it was edited and/or morphed?

  During a deposition, the lawyers might make objections, which the judge then listens to later and rules on. If the judge rules the objection sustained, the section is stricken from the record and edited out of the recording that makes the final DVD. As if it didn’t exist. I think this is what you’re getting at?
