December 5, 2007 at 3:10 pmWe have always had the ability to do forum specific searches, Bob. But thanks for the kind words, they are always appreciated.

Right, but for current-forum-only results, I used to have to specify the forum. Now, the default for a search inside the forum is that forum only. A lot faster.
Is Boolean search part of the future? plus/minus/literal?

December 5, 2007 at 4:08 pmSince the subject came up, I thank you for all the recent updates to the interface.
The changes you’ve made make the experience easier on the user, and make finding information even faster. A great site just keeps getting better.

December 5, 2007 at 6:02 pmHey Bob,
Quotes are supported (literal) but not plus or minus at this time. Most of the adjustments so far to the search mechanism have been in formatting the results rather than supporting advanced characters, formatting, or commands. We are continuing to do adjustments to it and I’m sure eventually these things will be implemented once the results and the basics are established.
