    Hey everyone,

Just needing some help creating a text animation (using AE 6.0)

I want the letters to “cut” from the original to a new color. I want to do this to 4 sets of letters on 4 beats of music. For example:

    Amy Fardy

(this is an actual name!!) I want the “m” and the “d” to change at the same time, then the “y” and the “a”…and so on…

So I was trying to create this, and I created multiple range selectors for the different sets of characters…but the best I can figure out is, I have to create a hold keyframe from a selection of no characters to the selection I want? Is this the easiest way?
