To follow up on my rather negative post about Resolve as an NLE….

They released 15.1 yesterday less than two weeks after their .01 bug fix release. It has a slew of new feature and fixed the bug that made it impossible to accurately copy clips from one timeline to another

It also made switching between timelines acceptably fast and allowed keyframing of OFx plugin parameters.

Just goes to show how serious BM is about playing in the NLE sandbox.

They have added support for the Loader toll in the Fusion page and I believe the ability to start a new Fusion comp without the need for any source material in the timeline. Still waiting to see if a new version of Fusion standalone will be announced. My guess is the new version will have the flat look UI that Resolve has.

And editing those BM RAW clips in 15.1 on my 2013 MBP is so very smooth, very impressed with the speed increases BMD have been working on

I went on the BMD site to check for an update to Fusion standalone but noticed the 15.1 update was available as of today. I know for a fact it was available last week as well. Any ideas to why?

EDIT: Sorry, 15.0.1 was two weeks ago!

My guess it was an incremental update and the previous 15.1 version might have been pulled from the support page. Will post an update shortly.

It went from 15.1.0.024 to 15.1.0.025 making it likely a bug fix.
