Hi, Please give me some advice on which book to purchase, we require comprehensive tutorials on Adobe After Effects CS4, something that covers from the basics to advanced operations. Peachpit is usually a good source, but there seem to be a number of different options.

For general, overall After Effects learning, I recommend one of four books. Each of the links below will execute a search that takes you to sections in After Effects Help that link to free chapters from these books, so you can check the material out before you buy the whole book.

    beginner:
After Effects Apprentice (Chris and Trish Meyer)

Classroom in a Book (Adobe Press)

    intermediate to advanced:
Creating Motion Graphics (Chris and Trish Meyer)

After Effects Studio Techniques (Mark Christiansen)

There are other good books about specific areas of After Effects, but these four are the good ones that cover the breadth of the application.

Yeah, if we’re talking about media other than books, I’ve got a lot of stuff to recommend. Total Training is very near the top for me, too.
