And one caveat for early-adopters, Clips requires iOS 10.3 which is the superslow update due to the file system update, so maybe time it for this evening.

[Craig Seeman] “…most also noticed the user interface proved to be a little too difficult or confusing.”

It’s intentional, they’re trying to get the Snapchat kids to use it! 😉

Now if only there were an FCPXML export for those titles!! ????

Imagine having just that, the realtime transcription, in X. Seriously. ????

It’s also ironically very similar to a feature request that I described to someone at Apple last summer. Only my version required “sending a clip’s audio to Siri” in some way or another, but this is obviously so much cooler. But the gist of the response seemed to be along the lines of “it’s not good enough for FCP, too error prone”. ????

Perhaps this is the “testing grounds” for them to implement in FCPX at a later date… in some ways like iMovie had elements that later appeared in FCPX in a much more advanced version. One can hope.

Clips is absolutely the most fun I’ve had editing on a mobile device.

It’s almost a little too fun. Is that possible?

    [Craig Seeman] “One can hope.”

If we only knew how close the teams are. But I’ll definitely be reiterating the request either way, now that I have a little more “ammo”. ????
