I’m still on El Capitan. Should I update? Also is there anyway to do a clean install and then bring my mail and bookmarks and so forth into the clean install. I used to do this every update. But with El Capitan I couldn’t find any info on how to do this. My iMac crashes far too often and a weird crash at that. It freezes and then reboots usually with no indication that a kernel panic has taken place, nor a report to Apple. though it will be in the system log.
