  Creating freeze and exporting ?

  Still new with x and know how to grab a freeze and connect it to timeline. What I want to do is use compressor to create a jpeg of the selected freeze and export for other uses. Any suggestions?

  There are a couple of ways to do this, a Compressor export is not really needed:

  Thanks, this link showed to create the freeze which I’ve done. Converting to a jpeg and exporting is my problem. I’ve tried selecting the clip, placing the playhead over the frame I want and the going to share looking for “share a still image” but that is not a choice as indicated in a previous similar question posted on Apple X forum.

  Go to sharing prefs in preferences menu. Drag ‘save current frame’ from right window to left window and choose the format you want. Park the playhead on the frame you want and choose the sharing preset you just made.
