  Light waves in nano, non-randomly?

  Hey. I was just wondering if it’s possible to make the lightwaves seen in this tutorial so that after doing all of their random movement, they then form into shapes/words. If that’s not possible then i was wondering if it was possible to just form them into words to begin with? Thanks

  yes, but what i would do first is create the movement to draw on the words. this could be a path/mask that you create, then copy and paste into the emitter’s position. but however you do it, get that looking the way you want it, then add the wiggle expression back in.

  then you’ll need to animate the amount of wiggle to decrease before the write-on of the words/shapes starts. to do that you’ll want to add a slider expression control effect to the emitter layer. change the emitter’s position expression to something like this:

  a = effect(“Slider Control”)(“Slider”);
  wiggle(.5,a)

  then you can key frame the value of the slider to go from say 100 at the start to 0 (or a low value) as the write-on animation starts.
