  REAL basic AE problem – Freeze frames

  Hi all,
  Kind of embarrassed about this one as the answer is probably really simple, but I’ve hit a brick wall trying to put a freeze frame on a bit of picture – and this was following the steps in the manual!

  Working in the layer panel, the freeze frame works successfully. Go back to the comp and the picture goes to black where the freeze frame should be… Huh??

  I’m clearly not doing something but I ain’t sure what!

  Little help?

  Hi thanks for getting back to me

  >Open layer panel
  >Layer styles>time>freeze frame
  Then slide the upper and lower markers into position to set the freeze and duration of the freeze.

  As I said it works fine in the layer panel, it just doesn’t carry over to the composition…
