Hi everyone, I am trying to animate a ferry wheel that contains 6 ferry wheel cabins. The cabins should follows the ferry wheel’s rotation and stay prependicular to the ground all the time.

I’ve tried to use parenting to do the first part, but the cabins will also rotation like the wheel does. I’ve also tried to use expression but it was hard to calculate the postion (I am so stuck in math)

Is there a quick to do this? or do I have to do it manually?

    Thanks in advance!

Well here is a quick solution:
-Lay out the cars in a circle around the center point of the ferris wheel. Make sure each cars anchor point is in the center of the car. Parent the cars to the center point of the ferris wheel. Add an expression to the rotation parameter of each car: In this expression pick whip to the rotation values of the center point but put a negative in front. Your expression might look something like this.

    -thisComp.layer(“Wheel Center”).rotation

    That should fix your problems.
