  adjustment layer transparency??

  Hi,
  I am doing keying and I am trying to find out why I can’ t see my background image in total transparency….what I did (in order placed in timeline):

  added effects into masks in adjustment layer (matte choker ) and keying effect also
  footage layer
  solid layer or background image: i only see total transparecny in the area where my adjustment layer is not there (as I made masks for it), i don’t see this solid layer or bkgrd image in the areas where my adjustment is supposed to be transparent!!!!???

  So my question is: if I apply effects in the masks of my adjustment layer to get rid of green color and then place a background image in my “transparent areas”, why are these areas not really transparent? why I can’t see my bkgrd image there?
  i can’t apply effects into my footage image because i will have to create masks that will make desappear some areas that are needed.
  So,what can I do?????
