  Transparency

  Hi,

  When i import a Photoshop File with a transparent background into Final Cut Pro It keeps the transparency so that i can can place layers over eachother as shown in this screenshot https://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j33/Gully_89/Picture4-3.png

  However when i do this in Adobe after effects, It does not recognise the transparency and creates a black layer where you should be able to see the lower layer (the cars) as shown in this screenshot https://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j33/Gully_89/Picture5-2.png

  Is there a box in after effects i’m not ticking or something?

  It is transparent…

  CLick the grid icon at bottom of comp window.

  It is just showing you black, which is what is at he bottom of transparency in video.

  FCP is same way unless you turn on Transparency in VIewer.
