No finder tags?
Posted by Loren Risker on December 20, 2013 at 11:00 pmI’m very surprised tags in finder don’t turn into keywords. I was sure they’d include that, was looking forward to doing my first round of organizing outside of FCPX.

December 20, 2013 at 11:11 pmIt’s annoying enough that tags replaced labels. Actually it’d be fine if they were bigger than a little dot. Used to color coordinate files, but tags are just not obvious enough.

December 20, 2013 at 11:11 pmI was expecting that as well when I first saw the Mavericks demo – it would allow more collaborators to contribute to the process. Seems weird to not have it there.
While my blog is mainly Avid and workflow focused, I did refer to it in this entry:

I wouldn’t write it off just yet. The feature set for FCP 10.1 was “locked” before 10.9 was ready. I imagine it’ll appear at some point.

December 21, 2013 at 2:05 pmI’m not imolying it won’t, just that I was surprised it wasn’t in the initial release. It’s not like they first heard about tags and keyworks in the OS when it was released. 😉
