  Orbit tool Malfunction

  I have a basic version of After Effects CS3. I have been trying to work some 3d text and other layers into my comp for sometime now. I’ve selected the 3d box on all the layers that I want to be 3d and I select the orbit tool to test the effect. When I click on the comp with the correct source name I get a “MAC” Thud sound. Yes I am using a mac. Is there a setting that I am forgetting? Please help! Thanks!

  Add a camera to the scene, or go to the pulldown at the bottom of the comp window and change from active camera to custom camera

  Thanks for the tips, I had tried with a camera. The custom view did the trick!
