    Dear All

Another newbie I’m afraid, so apologies for what will probably be an obvious problem but here it is…..

I’ve created a text layer and want that in 3D so I’ve checked the 3D box in timeline, however, the text disappears when I do this.

I have placed the text layer next to another layer that is also 3D (I’ve got Camera, Null Object, Footage & Solid layers) but I just can’t seem to figure out why the text disappears.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Many thanks

Is the camera not pointing at the text layer? Did you change the orientation of the camera? Is the text layer now sitting behind another 3D layer?

    Hi Jane,

I’m not sure the “3D” for you text is going to do what you think it’s going to do…
It does not create 3D text, rather it lets you work with the layer in 3D space.
Please disregard if I’m off base.

Darby is correct, you’ll need a camera, pointing in the right direction to ‘see’ you’re 3D layer and to change the POV.

    Good Luck,

    Thanks guys.

It was the Text LAYER I wanted in 3D, not 3D text. The layer was sitting behind the camera, cheers for your help.
