when i try to render a preview, AE only renders a little piece. i can do a complete render over the renderlist, but not in the preview. when i change the “point of interest” by moving the workspace, it does render there, but also just a piece of maybe 20 seconds. does anybody know why?

    thank you,

you can render as far as your RAM and AE settings allow. This includes the size of the video, the framerate and the audio. For instance, you can preview way more SD footage than HD.

Try to change your RAM preview options, in the Time Controls window. Lower the resolution or skip a couple of frames. Instead of pressing “space”, try pressing “Number Pad 0”. This should help.
