  Why does my text appear to stretch on rotation?

  I’m trying a simple rotation of text, however when I use the rotation property, my text appears to “stretch” the more it approaches a 90 degree angle. Can someone explain to me why this happens, and any way to prevent it?

  I have uploaded a very basic AE project file to demonstrate the problem:

  It sounds like you’re working in a composition that uses non-square pixels (NTSC DV or PAL DV?).

  Try switching on pixel aspect ratio correction for your composition preview. The switch for this is just to the right of the “3D View” and “View Layout” popups at the bottom of the comp preview panel. It looks like a rectangle with a double-sided arrow above it.
