Hey, i’ve watched alot of the videos here & on video co pilot.

You seem to use CC Particle World quite alot but i cant find it in my AE. Is it a plugin? Or has my installation gone wrong?

Sorry if you said this in one of the videos/other threads and i ve missed it 😀

    Thanks.

if you have cs3, the cycore effects (denoted by ‘cc’) should have been installed by default, unless the ‘install third party content’ option was unchecked. i believe this is true for all version of cs3 (trial, education and, of course, pro), but i may be wrong on that. also, i believe you can install just the third party content from the original install disk.

if you have ae7 pro (or earlier pro version) i think the third party installers were in an ‘extras’ folder or maybe ‘third party’ folder on the original install disk. within that folder is a folder called cycore, and within that, the cycorefx installer.

if you have a standard, education or tiral version of ae that is version 7 or earlier you will not have those third party effects. you can purchase a similar fx package from cycorefx.com called cycorefx hd. i believe it has all the same effects, plus several new ones, and all of them are capable of 16bpc calculations.

FYI-just to keep squelching the rumor.
The education version of AE or any Adobe product is identical to the full retail versions.
