July 16, 2008 at 5:01 pmProvided you have AE CS3 you can find this switch in Animation > Animate Text > Enable Per-character 3D (select your text layer first). If you have a previous version of After Effects then you’re out of luck, this was a new feature in CS3.

What kind of computer do you have? What OS are you running? Are there error messages or does it just freeze? Anything unusual about your setup (you’re not trying to run it from an external HD)?

July 16, 2008 at 11:45 pmI have windows XP SP2, at least the first OS can’t run the program, at the installing, an error message occupied on the screen, like this : to continue the istall u need to shutdown Microsoft Internet explorer, but WTF? iT’s not runing, no problem ctrl+alt+delete and i shuted down it! then i can continue the install… no problem, everything’s fine, a program installed. OK. It’s not original, so i have crack for it, and i paste the crack in the correct folder, than i restarted my comp. boot ok, OS ok, let’s run the prog. double click on the icon, initializing screen poped up, ,,Adobe After Effect CS3″ and, and what? i can’t do anything. OK. shutdown the prog, try again, unfortunetly, it doesn’t run. Hmm what can i do? Nothing, Install a new OS. I find an another OS, i installed it up, first of all, i installed the drivers bla bla… then i installed the AE. Not Internet Explorer Erro message, i don’t need to shutdwon, very happy, installation complete, activation complete, then cracking complete, and then…. start the problem, double click on the icon, initializing screen poped up! nothing, o ye…
That’s all
Plox help..

July 17, 2008 at 5:49 amWell you’re not going to like my solution: don’t use a cracked version.
If you can’t afford it right now then try downloading the trial and installing it uncracked and see how it runs. That should help determine if it’s in fact a problem with your computer.

That’s why I recommended downloading the trial and trying to install it uncracked first 🙁
The next thing I would consider trying is removing/disabling any 3rd party drivers you have installed. Also, now that you have an official license, you should contact Adobe support and bug them until they find the solution 🙂
