How/can I turn on Quicktime (mov.) format in AE CS3?
AE says it has been turned off..( I did not have a compatible version installed before the installations of Cs3)
Now AE does not recognize that I ‘now’ have Quicktime 7 pro installed.((new system))
I even reinstalled the entire CS Suite twice, but It still says ” Mov. format had been disabled”) … any thoughts? thanks in advance.

sorry if this is a re-post.. if didn’t see my first post after 30 miinutes..figured something went wrong

I tried that Dave, with no sucess. So again I re-installes all programs, even checked my adobe Disk on another computer and it works fine.

This computer is a quad core 64 bit/ 8 gigs of ram/duel vid card SLI, (but I do not have the SLI on.)
Not sure if that makes a dif.
also the OS is Vista 64 homes premium ‘for system builders’,

Should I try re-installing the OS??
    any advice would be helpful!

AE has a permanent hidden key in its registry me thinks. The uninstall probably did not remove that. or try deleting AE’s left over preference folder too after uninstall.

You could try duplicating the events on another computer with an older quicktime, and use ushampoo uninstaller that records every file, every registry key written to computer during AE install. snapshot before opening AE and then open it, see AE disable quicktime, snapshot after and see the new written key. You have found the problem!
